Nice to meet you – I’m Emma, behind Emma Picks, and welcome to my blog.
By day, I work at University as a Tutor, improving student engagement and experience in Higher Education. By night, when I’m not blogging, I’m usually found on the sofa relaxing or with friends!
The main reason why I started this blog was:
- I wanted a hobby
- I’m always up for giving things a try
- It allows me to be creative
Though this is a lifestyle blog, it does have various categories as I’m open to all suggestions. For instance, I’m a bad cook but I’ll still try out recipes; I love crafts so nothing is more satisfying than trying out new crafts for gifts or home decoration.
Since starting this blog, I’ve pushed myself to the limits – from travelling alone to sharing my life experiences. But it’s given me a lot of opportunities too. In 2018, I co-founded HEY. Bloggers which unites creatives and bloggers in Hull and East Yorkshire. More information can be found via @hey_bloggers on Twitter and Instagram!
I hope you enjoy my content – if there’s anything you want to see or collaborate on – give me a shout!
Lots of love,
